Trial Cohorts — 12 Devices Each
12
Cohort A · Staff
Home Care Employees
12 devices assigned to frontline home care staff for personal wellness use throughout the 30-day trial. These same staff also guide and support their own patients in Cohorts B and C using their personal smartphone to run the app.
12
Cohort B · Patient
Home Health Patients
12 devices placed directly with home health patients for the full 30 days — ideally matched to the caseloads of the 12 participating staff. Patients self-administer with guidance from their assigned worker during visits.
12
Cohort C · Patient
Memory Care Patients
12 devices left with memory care patients for the full 30 days. Staff facilitate sessions during visits and observe behavioral response. Outcomes tracked via caregiver proxy reporting throughout the trial.
How the Trial Works
01
Devices Ship to SHS
Pre-Launch
36 Sensate devices ship to Strategic Healthcare Staffing. Internal coordinator distributes 12 units to each cohort with setup instructions and baseline questionnaires. Cohorts B and C are matched to the caseloads of Cohort A staff where possible.
02
30-Day Active Trial
Days 1–30
Staff use devices for personal wellness. Home health and memory care patients keep devices for the full month. Staff guide patient sessions during visits and submit weekly check-in observations for each cohort.
03
Outcome Review
Day 30
Final assessment mirrors baseline across all three cohorts. Sensate compiles a summary report for AJ Caro — before/after delta by cohort, usage patterns, staff observations, and next-step recommendations.
